She has developed new techniques to grow single crystals of intermetallic phases. Research and career Ĭhan began her career as an assistant professor of chemistry at Louisiana State University in 2000. She has continued to play violin in her church orchestra. The enhanced river channel sections site trial has successfully transformed the concrete channel sections into more natural rivers that allows natural vegetation and aquatic wildlife to recolonize the river. The proudest achievement to date is being the Project Manager for the Eco-hydraulics Study Stage 1 and Stage 2 projects, leading the team in designing ecological and landscape enhancement features, including a site trial for revitalising the concrete channels in Hong Kong. ![]() I have been with Mott MacDonald for over 12 years. I am an Ecologist which requires me to work outdoors and in the natural environment to collect baseline ecological information. I found Mott MacDonald would provide a good platform for applying what I have learnt in previous jobs and provide opportunities for exposure to high profile infrastructure projects to further expand my horizon in developing my career in environmental consultancy. Mott MacDonald provides a variety of consultancy services including environmental impact assessment and ecological conservation was one of the aspects that the Hong Kong office was expanding at the time I applied for the position.
